Genetic Focus Fibre Testing goes beyond a standard fibre test by focusing on the genetically influenced variation between individual fibres, rather than relying only on average micron and conventional SD. Standard SD can be influenced by both genetics and environmental effects along the fibre, so this service is designed to give breeders a clearer picture of the variation that matters most for breeding decisions.
